  5. Hi John,

Found your site from Enstine’s blog – and loved your story on there.

Gosh – where to start on this list of quotes from successful Internet Marketers? I just found myself nodding all the way down, and several times thought I’d found a favorite, only to find a more relevant one further down.

I think I’ll settle for two: first the one about “being useful” – for the contrary reason that someone, probably with my best interests at heart, told me I should STOP trying to be useful all the time. But I don’t want to stop! The day I feel I’m no longer useful I may as well hang up my clogs. (As they say here in the UK.)

Second: the one about every “mistake” a user makes is not because they’re stupid, but because your website sucks. This doesn’t relate to websites (for ME) but to software as I’m a software developer by profession and it’s my aim to make bullet-proof software.

Truly was hard to pick a favorite – they’re all so true!

    • Hi Joy!

So good to see you here!

I must say, that while I love a lot of these quotes, Enstine’s is one of my favorite, because it is so simple, yet so profound!

“Solve a problem! That’s the magic to make money online.”

      I also love Perry Marshall’s!

“Nobody who bought a drill actually wanted a drill. They wanted a hole. Therefore, if you want to sell drills, you should advertise information about making holes – NOT information about drills!”

But you are right, just when you think you have a favorite, you find another good one!

      Thanks for stopping by Joy!

I am whispering this: two spelling mistakes I caught, the second one was cliche instead of click. A little important detail I learned building ads for a newspaper. It needs to be clean!
