Thrive Architect Review

When I first started building websites back in 2007, I immersed myself in html and learned the hard way how to create web pages. While that knowledge of html still serves me well, it is not the easiest of ways to create a webpage and it is not very enjoyable.

When I finally discovered the WordPress platform while building my business at Wealthy Affiliate, I was thrilled at how much easier it was to create a webpage, but it was still difficult to add a wide array of features.

Then came Thrive Architect...

This plugin makes it incredibly simple to create visually stunning blog posts and landing pages without any knowledge of html or css. 

In this Thrive Architect review I am going to show you all of the features of the plugin and how you can use them to create your best looking webpages ever.

What is Thrive Architect?

Thrive Architect is a drag and drop WYSIWYG visual editor for WordPress, but it is unlike any other editor that you have ever used before.

It allows you to build your page exactly as it will look to your  visitor. There is no more constantly toggling back and forth between preview and editor. You see your edits in real time exactly as they will appear on the finished page.

The plugin was developed by Thrive Themes, the force behind conversion focused themes and landing pages, and allows you create stunning landing pages eliminating the need for a third party landing page creator like Leadpages.

What Elements Can You Add With Thrive Architect?

Let's take a look at what you can do with this awesome plugin.

Images

Simply drag and drop the image element from the editor on the right.

Once you have added the image, you can click on it and change anything about the image, including size, alignment, alt text, title, etc. right inside the Thrive Architect editor and see your changes instantly.

Buttons

Thrive Architect makes it simple to add fully customizable buttons. Again, just drag and drop the button where you want it.

The buttons are fully customizable. You can choose from six different styles and customize to fit your needs.

One of my favorite features of Thrive Architect is the events feature.

If you continue to scroll down the page, you will see a new button that I have assigned an event too.

You can add animation to buttons and images that is really cool!

I can't understand why more people are not using this feature as it really draws attention to the button or image.

It is very simple to do and very effective.

Here are the other animations that you can add.

I could play with that feature all day!

But let's move on...

Icons

You can add Icons and credit card icons by simply dragging and dropping the element on your page.

Thrive Architect comes with access to a bunch of free icons, but I had a little trouble figuring out how to get them into the icon manager.

You can once again edit everything about the icons right inside the editor.

Easy Peasy...

Custom HTML and CSS

This comes in very handy for adding code to your page. Simply drag and drop the custom html or CSS element where you want it on the page.

Click Insert Custom HTML and paste your HTML.

Done!

Star Ratings

These are really cool and can be a powerful tool for use in reviews.

Again, you simple drag and drop, then click on the stars to edit them.

Content Templates

Another awesome feature of Thrive Architect is the Content Templates feature.

This allows you to save any piece of content that you create as a template.

I use this extensively and it is a huge time saver.

You can save a whole page as a review template.

You could save a piece of content like the Thrive Architect Review Summary at the beginning of this post.

Maybe you have a particular button design that you came up with. You name it, you can save it as a template for use in the future.

Column Layouts

Never has it been easier to create the column layout of your choice.

Simply click on Column Layout and drag the layout of your choice onto your page.

Content Box

There are six different styles of content boxes available and they are all infinitely customizable.

Symbol Box

There are also 2 symbol boxes that can fully customized for your needs.

Social Share Buttons

Yes, social share buttons are included in this plugin and you have complete control over where to show them on your page.

You can choose which buttons to show.

You can also choose the the order of the buttons, as well as the alignment.

Another awesome Thrive Architect feature is Click to Tweet!

You can embed this feature right in your page and make it easy for readers to share your content.

As with all the other features of this plugin, you can customize everything.

Styled Lists

There are six different styles of lists that are preconfigured in the plugin.

These are in addition to the standard bullet and numbered lists.

Here they are shown inside of a column layout.

As you can see above, everything is editable, including colors, sizes, fonts, etc.

Dividers

There are four different dividers that you can simply drag and drop into place.

Testimonials

Thrive Architect testimonials are a great way to show social proof for your product or review.

There are nine different testimonial template options.

Five with a picture and four without a picture. Here they are.

Those are the nine testimonial templates that are available in Thrive Architect and of course they are all completely customizable.

Call to Action Feature

There are a total of 4 completely customizable call to action templates included in Thrive Architect.

You can add cool animations!

Guarantee Boxes

There are four styles of guarantee box templates.

You will find an example of each below.

Custom Menus

This feature allows you to create a custom menu in your WordPress dashboard and insert that custom menu anywhere on your page.

Below I have inserted my footer menu, but you can use any menu that you have created.

Pricing Tables

The next element is pricing tables and these are awesome!

You can choose from 1 to 5 columns and they are fully customizable.

These are awesome for sales pages and did I mention that Thrive includes sales page templates with Architect!

Tabbed Content

This feature includes both horizontal and vertical tabs, as shown below.

Imagine being able to do all of this with just one plugin!

Featured Grids

There are six templates for featured grids, 3 with images and 3 with icons.

Each is available in 2, 3, or 4 columns

You can see each of them below.

Each of these are fully customizable, including size. The size shown is large, they are also available in medium and small.

Content Toggle Feature

This is a pretty cool feature that puts a toggle with a headline in your page and when you click on it, it reveals the content.

Tables Feature

I can remember having to use HTML to create tables back in the day.

Thrive Architect makes creating tables simple!

Simply drag the table element to where you want it on the page.

Click on it and chose the number of columns and rows!

I made the table above 2 rows and 2 columns for illustration purposes

Data Elements

These are some pretty cool features!

You have a fully customizable progress bar.

You have a fill counter.

And you have a number counter.

Again, all simple drag, drop and edit and all included in one plugin!

Google Map Imbed

This feature makes it super easy to embed Google maps into your webpage.

I've used this on some local sites that I've built.

Just drag and drop the element where you want it.

If I had to spend the rest of my life in one place, this would be it!

Countdown Timer

The next feature is the countdown timer. We all know that scarcity sells and what better way to create scarcity than with a countdown timer!

Those are the three customizable styles and they are available in evergreen, which means it keeps playing over and over, and a simple countdown that ends.

Responsive Video Feature

This element makes it simple to add a responsive video anywhere on your page.

Just drag and drop the element and click to edit.

As you can see above, there are a number of things that you can edit for the video.

I recommend hiding related videos, so you don't lose your reader.

There are also 15 cool styles that you can choose for your video.

Thrive Architect Tutorial Video

I really like this feature and use it in all of my review posts since I started using Thrive Architect.

You can see how I use it at the beginning of this Thrive Architect Review.

It allows the reader to go directly to any section of your page and it is automatically created simply by checking which headings you would like populated as links.

As you can see above, you just check the headings that you want to populate and click update.

Lead Generation

The lead generation element makes it simple to add lead generation forms and integrate them with your autoresponder.

Post Grids

This element allows you display a fully customizable grid showing any posts that you choose.

I chose the reviews below individually, but you can chose them based on category, tags, author, etc.

You can also choose the number of posts to be displayed as well as image, text, etc.

Comments

If you prefer to have Facebook or Disqus comments on your page, this feature lets you add that element by simply dragging and dropping.

Page Section

This is another feature that I use very often.

Thrive Posts Lists

This feature allows you to add a list of posts to your page with a simple click.

Thrive Click to Call

This feature allows you to quickly add a button that your readers can click to call your phone number.

Conclusion and Verdict

I have tried to show you all of the features of this awesome plugin in this Thrive Architect review.

I think that you will agree that this WordPress editor will make your life easier and make creating content fun again!

I recommend Thrive Architect 100% and I will never go back to the ho hum WordPress editor again.
