The way that I make money with Wealthy Affiliate is probably not for everyone, so I will also show you other ways that you can make money with Wealthy Affiliate.

So, that being said, there are many ways to make money with Wealthy Affiliate, but really only one method.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is basically a business relationship between three parties.

1. The Merchant
2. The Affiliate Marketer
3. The Customer

The merchant has products or services to sell.

The customer is looking to buy those products and services.

The affiliate marketer provides valuable information to the customer and when he or she is ready to buy, the affiliate marketer introduces the customer to the merchants products and services.

I know it sounds simple enough, but it gets a little more complicated when you start learning about customer buying cycles and triggers.

Let Me Tell You Why I Am At Wealthy Affiliate

I started my online business in 2007. 

Back then I was just like you.

I was searching for information on how to make money online and I was being scammed by everyone in the MMO space.

Eventually I found Site Build It, which is now named Solo Build It.

Solo Build it is a very similar platform as Wealthy Affiliate.

I say similar, but they are really very different.

The training is a different style and Solo Build It only lets you have one website, whereas Wealthy Affiliate allows 10 for premium members.

I built my first website around one of my hobbies at Solo Build It and it was getting traffic and starting to make money, so I built a second one around another one of my hobbies.

The problem was, Solo Build It was like $359 per year and now I had two subscriptions!

After all, I had gotten quite the expensive education in avoiding scams when I started my business.

I was making plenty of money from my first two websites, but I just didn't want to buy a third subscription to Solo Build It, so I started looking for other places to build and host my website.

I joined as a free starter member to take a test drive and I was very impressed.

After just a few short days I joined as a premium member and began building this website.

How I make Money With Wealthy Affiliate

We have talked about how affiliate marketing works, but now I want to get more specific.

How I make money with Wealthy Affiliate depends on which website we are talking about.

I promote different things based on the niche of the website.

I make money with Wealthy Affiliate with this website by:

• Promoting products that help people build an online business.
• Promoting products that help people build a killer website.
• Promoting products that help people learn SEO.

That is where most of my online business revenue comes from.

One of the products that I promote is Wealthy Affiliate.

I only promote products that I have used and truly believe that they provide value.

Another reason that I promote Wealthy Affiliate is because members love it, and they stay members for a long time.

As an affiliate of WA, you earn recurring revenue.

Which means that as long as a member that you referred stays at Wealthy Affiliate, you continue to receive a commission.

Other Ways I make Money With Wealthy Affiliate

There are lots of ways to make money with Wealthy Affiliate.

There are thousands of affiliate programs out there that you can sign up with and promote their products.

The second biggest way that I make money with Wealthy Affiliate is with Amazon.

Amazon Affiliates is probably the most popular affiliate program available.

Mainly because you can promote anything that they sell.

Which is a huge amount of products in almost every niche.

Here's how it works:

• Choose a niche that you are passionate about or that you have a lot of knowledge about.
• Write reviews and create buying guides that are valuable to people looking for those products.
• Use an affiliate link to send your readers to buy the product at Amazon.
• Get credit for the sale and make a commission.

I'll give you an example:

The second website that I built back in 2007 is about deer hunting, which was one of my passions back then.

I have hundreds of articles about deer hunting on that site.

I also have a section of that site called Gear Reviews.

In that section I have valuable buying guides along with in depth reviews of deer hunting gear.

Guess what?

A lot of readers buy deer hunting gear through my links!

I'll give you another example:

I can't tell you what niche this is, because my site is still very young and an unscrupulous marketer could probably do a better job than me and steal my readers.

But I can tell you how I found it and started making money in this niche with Wealthy Affiliate.

When you join Wealthy Affiliate, you get access to their keyword research tool called Jaaxy.

Keyword research is one of the most important aspects of building your website and your online business.

Ideally, you want to find keywords that people are searching for that have very little competition and a lot of monthly searches.

As I was doing keyword research for another project, I came across a keyword that I had never heard of before.

I'm 54 years old and a voracious reader, there aren't many things that I haven't come across before.

I started researching this product and found that it has been used for thousands of years, beginning in China, and it was starting to catch on and create a market in the rest of the world.

Now I was EXCITED!

The product was available in many different brands, which was perfect for creating a lot of different reviews.

Further research proved that most of the brands were available at Amazon.

Now I was really EXCITED!

Here is exactly what I did:

• I bought a domain name that had the product in the name. Productnameconnection.com.
• I built a website at Wealthy Affiliate using that domain.
• I went over to Amazon and bought every brand of the product that I could find.
• I wrote individual reviews of every brand of the product.
• I then wrote an extensive buying guide for the product which linked to all of the reviews.

In no time I was ranking on the first page for some of the keywords.

I am even ranked number one for some of the reviews!

Like I said, this site is still very new and as of this writing it is only making around $200-$300 per month, but it has huge potential!

Here is an actual screenshot of my Amazon sales associated with that website.

It doesn't seem like a lot of money, but I am very excited about what this site can do if I keep producing good content and get higher rankings for some of the more searched for keywords.

UPDATE 2022: I sold the site above for $15,000, and it was a niche that I just stumbled upon. The niche was Matcha.

So another way to make money with Wealthy Affiliate is to build a website and sell it!

Affiliate websites are currently selling for 30 to 40 times monthly income!

That's right, if your site is making $1,000 per month, you can sell it for $30,000 - $40,000!

How YOU Can Make Money With Wealthy Affiliate

I showed you some of the ways that I make money with Wealthy Affiliate.

I am going to suggest that you don't start off by promoting Wealthy Affiliate itself.

And here's why:

Promoting Wealthy Affiliate is in the "Make Money Online" niche.

This is a very competitive niche and very difficult for a beginner to make any money in.

I'm not saying that you can't do it.

I am saying that there are much easier ways to make money with Wealthy Affiliate.

You can always enter the MMO niche after you have gained some experience and are making money in other niches.

The best way for you to make money with Wealthy Affiliate is to start in a niche that you are passionate about, or that you have a lot of knowledge about.

Here's the thing...

You are going to be creating a lot of content for your website in the niche that you choose.

If that niche doesn't excite you, you are going to get bored or discouraged and you are going to give up.

One fact about online businesses:

Anyone that gives up will never be successful.

I want you to be successful.

When you are successful, you stay a member of Wealthy Affiliate and I continue to be successful.

So my success is directly related to your success.

Once you have your niche, it is just a matter of finding products that you can promote in your niche.

Probably the easiest was to get started is with Amazon.

One word of advice with Amazon.

Don't sign up for the Amazon Affiliate Program until you start getting some pretty good traffic.

Amazon gives you, I think it is 60 days, to make a sale.

If you don't make a sale in 60 days, they terminate your account.

That is the last thing that you want when you are just starting out.

Although you can always reapply later, when you are getting more traffic.
